In India, the festive season is just around the corner. Ganesh Chaturthi, a festival that is celebrated as the birth anniversary of lord Ganesha has its own unique significance, and also it gives us people a reason to eat a bit more sweets!

So, today I’m going to share a very simple and quick to cook recipe which is sure to add up in the sweetness quotient of this festive season.

Do you know about bounty balls?

I mean who doesn’t like bounty balls? Kids love it, adults love it and everybody enjoys it, right? The best thing about bounty balls is that it is so easy to make and easier to eat or I would say “finish it all.”

What makes a recipe an easy one?

What else can be easier than a recipe which has less than 5 and sometimes even less than 4 ingredients? Yes, you read that right! All you need is some desiccated coconut, condensed milk and some chopped milk chocolate to make bounty balls. That’s it!

Now, let’s slip into the process…

Start with the basics like always

First, in a bowl, take 1.5 cup desiccated coconut and mix it with ½ cup condensed milk. Now mix it nicely as to make it a dough ultimately. Using your hands, mix it until it becomes a solid dough.

This thing asks for a shape!

Next, take small pieces from the dough and using your palm, shape them into round balls. Keep them ready on a dish as you move on to the next step.

Make optimum use of this main ingredient

In this step you will need milk chocolates. You have to slice up the chocolates as you will require chopped milk chocolates to make these bounty balls.

Now, you have to melt the chocolate using double boiling method. In double boiling method, use a steel pot of water, set the bowl of chocolate on top of the steel pot, but make sure that the bottom surface of the bowl does not touch the water in the pot.

Once the water starts boiling, put/set the chocolate bowl on top of the steel pot and keep the flame on medium.

And it’s almost done!

After the chocolate melts and turns into thick liquid form, dip the bounty balls into the chocolate bowl and roll them nicely in order to fully cover them with chocolate.

Keep a butter paper on the tray ready as you need to put the chocolate coated bounty balls on the butter paper on the tray.

Once you keep all the bounty balls on the tray, now its time to place the tray in the refrigerator to set them in shape. You will need to keep them in the refrigerator for at least 15 to 20 minutes.

That’s it! After 20 minutes, you can take them out of the refrigerator and have it with your friends and family.

Happy cooking!
