Most of the times, it is advisable to prepare the basic paratha or roti in advance for this dish. Making this dish today will surely improve your cooking skills if you make it successfully.

In my recipe, I have discussed each step from preparing a basic paratha to cooking the egg paratha towards the end. There are various ways to serve this dish, the most common ones are mentioned in the last part of this post.

Here’s all you need to do….

Egg Paratha recipe

Take a big bowl and add a couple of teaspoons of wheat flour and salt according to taste, pour some oil in it and mix it all. Add some water and using your hands, make a dough for the paratha.

Now, take a piece from the dough and roll it using the rolling pin on the board. This is the same step how we make paratha. I know most of you understood the same.

Put the paratha in the pan and cook it for some time, apply some on it if you want. Repeat the same process to make more paratha.

Now, in another big bowl, crack the egg and put the yolk in the bowl and add 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon red chilli powder, and mix it all with the yolk.

Finally, add a small bowl of chopped onions, 1 teaspoon green chilli and coriander to it.

In another pan, spread some oil on its surface and then put the mixture that we just made in the pan. Next, put a paratha on this mixture and then cover the top of the paratha with more of this mixture. Cook the paratha in the pan for a few more minutes and repeat the same process with the remaining paratha.

Your egg paratha is ready to be served.

It can be served with green chutney or tomato sauce. Using onion springs as accompaniment is also a good choice.

Happy Cooking!
