Masala Fish Fry 

Sometimes, a dish turns out amazing because of its ingredients. In case of Masala Fish Fry, this statement fits to a huge extent as the fish plays an imperative role making a delicious fish fry dish.

The reason why I am focusing more on the fish in this recipe is because most of the times, it is because of the fish that this dish gets spoiled.

A homemade masala fish fry makes the perfect match for your meal this week. It is basically an Indian delicacy which is made by frying a fish, cutting the fish into slices and then these slices are glazed with tangy masala and fried as to make a crispy dish.

This non-vegetarian dish is a side dish and especially popular in the state of Punjab in India. Various spices are used as ingredients to prepare this scrumptious dish and in the end, what we get is a healthy dish with the perfect taste.

Today, we are going to know more about cooking this dish and serve along with salad.

Follow the steps below to make the best masala fish fry & salad dish.

Here’s how to make the salad for masala fish fry.

Just take a bowl. Now put delicately cut purple cabbage. Add some lettuce, carrot, cucumber, green, yellow, and red bell pepper to it. Now, put some spring onions to it and use three teaspoons of black pepper for seasoning on the salad.

Next, put some salt on as per your taste. Finally, add 1 teaspoon sugar, 4 teaspoon lemon juice, red chilies, extra virgin olive oil. Toss, turn and mix it all… That’s it, the salad is ready.

Preparation for Fish fry 

Marinating the fish

To prepare the marinate of the fish, take a bowl, put 2 teaspoon red chilli powder, ½ turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1.5 teaspoon garam masala, salt to taste and 1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste and lime juice (2 lemons). Now, pour 1.5 tablespoon of oil on it and mix it all to make the masala.

Next, marinate the fish with the masala. Make sure that you have applied lemon juice to the fish before marinating it with the masala. 

After marinating the fish, you have to keep it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Now, take a pan with 1 tablespoon oil in it and put the marinated fish in the pan to fry it. This process will take a while to finish. Meanwhile, turn the sides of the fish simultaneously while cooking/frying.

Keep the flame at low level while frying. Add some coriander leaves on both sides of the fish while cooking as it will give the fish the necessary flavor.

The fish will be ready in a sometime!

Serving the fish fry dish

Once the dish is ready, put the salads to a plate first and then the fish on it. Garnish it with coriander leaves and put some pieces of lemon on to it.
