Have a look at my recipe and the process of making tawa pulao

First. Take a flat fry pan and heat it on low flames. Put some oil on it and then add 2 tablespoons butter to it. Next add one small bowl of chopped onions to the mix and cook for some time. Add 1 teaspoon chilli garlic paste, 1 small bowl of cubed carrots, chopped tomatoes and mix it all as you cook it.

Add some salt as per your taste and preference, 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon red chilli powder, ½ teaspoon coriander powder, ½ teaspoon garam masala and stir it nicely.

After some time, add 1 teaspoon pav bhaji masala and cook it. The reason why we added pav bhaji masala is that it gives a unique taste and flavor to the dish which most people skip while learning to cook.

Once the mix is nicely fried or cooked, add a bowl of chopped capsicum and a bit of water to it. Finally add the cooked rice to the mixture and stir both of them while cooking on low flames. Add one small bowl of peas, one small bowls of cashew nuts, sprinkle some water, and more pav bhaji masala and mix it all again.

Cooking it on low flames, add one tablespoon of butter and after some time turn off the burner. Add lemon juice of one medium lemon. Properly mix the lemon juice and that’s all!

Tawa pulao is ready! You can serve it with any accompaniment of your choice. You can also serve it as an accompaniment to other main course dishes like paneer, chole and many others.

Happy Cooking!
