Veg Chowmein is basically stir-fried noodles along with some vegetables mixed. It also consists of soy sauce and some other spices. This is a Chinese dish, and this recipe is based on how most of the people make chowmein in India.

Chowmein is widely one of the all-time favorite dishes of kids all over the country. A few minutes of work and your chowmein gets ready to serve. The procedure is simple, and the steps are easy is understand and execute.

Here is all you need to do, follow the steps given below.  

Veg Chowmein

First of all, take a pan and boil some water in it, add a pinch of salt and oil to it. Once the water is boiled, add the noodles to the pan and wait for them to soften a bit. After that turn off the burner, take a few tablespoons of water from the pan in a separate bowl.

Now, rinse the noodles with cold water and get rid of the excess starch. Mix the noodles with some oil so that they don’t stick.

Next, in a wok, at high flames, add a few tablespoons of oil (you can also use sesame oil), 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic, sliced onions, spring onions, sliced cabbage, sliced capsicum, sliced red bell pepper, sliced yellow bell pepper, sliced carrots, and mix it all nicely as you cook it all for some time.

Add some salt as per your taste and preference, 1 teaspoon vinegar, 2 teaspoons dark soy sauce, 2 teaspoons red chilli sauce, 2 teaspoons chilli garlic sauce (readymade), cook it all for a few more minutes. Put some black pepper and white pepper in it. Now, pour the water which we took from the noodles to this mixture.

Finally, put the noodles in this mixture and cook it for a few more minutes. Let it cook nicely and that’s it, the street style vegetable chowmein is ready.
