Dahi Kebab is a popular restaurant snack which is loved by many foodies around the world and especially in the Indian subcontinent. For people who are vegetarian the term kebab along with dahi comes with some peace to them.

With nothing like a nonvegetarian dish, this amazing recipe just requires hung curd, cheese, paneer and some other common spices or powders. If you are a foodie, you are more likely to find this dish in most of the north Indian popular restaurants.

Basic cooking at first…

Take a bowl and add 1½ cup of hung curd in it. Add ¾ cup paneer, 4 cubes (1 bowl approx.) of grated cheese and mix it with the curd. Now, add green chillies according to taste, ½ teaspoon garam masala, 1 teaspoon black pepper powder, ½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder, coriander, 2 tablespoons corn flour and finally some salt as per your taste and preference.

A point to remember!

While mixing it, you will notice whether you need to add more corn flour to the mixture or not for proper binding.

Shaping and frying

Now when the dough is ready, shape the kebabs like a flattened oval and keep the kebabs one by one in a platter.

Next, take a wok with oil heating at medium to high flames, and put the kebabs one after another in the wok to let them fry.

Once the color of the kebab turns golden, that means it’s fried nicely. And that’s all you need to do!

Serving the dish

You can serve these kebabs with tomato sauce and green or red chutney. You can have it without the sauce or chutney as well, it is completely up to you how you like it.
